My name is Rene (Partyka) Hardtke. I was born on October 12, 1975 in a Detroit suburb. I started out with 2 parents and an older brother. I now have 4 parents, still that older brother, and a younger brother. I am on good terms and friends with all of these family members.

I married Brad (BJ) Hardtke in January 2003 in Maui. We are still going strong. Our children include Tilly the Lab/Shepherd mix and Madden the orange tabby, who is (BTW) possessed, and never to be forgotten the now-deceased Simba (fat cat) who was my soul mate if there ever was one.

We currently reside in Milwaukee Wisconsin. However, I have lived in the aforementioned Detroit area, San Jose and Sacramento, CA., and Phoenix, AZ. I have no idea why I came back to the snow after 15 years in the wonderful west.

I am a technical writer by trade. My educational background is in Journalism and Political Science. I am a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State.

I enjoy reading (non-fiction), traveling (anywhere), exercising, and volunteer work with at-risk youth. I am sports fanatic, a wine lover, a foodie, and blues baby.
